George Orwell
The controversial novelist George Orwell, has published over 10 novels throughout his lifetime. Many of those books’ ideas are highly against some political aspects such as totalitarianism, communism and fascism. A few of his notable works are actually based on past events metaphorically, to send specific messages. For example, Animal Farm was based on the Russian Revolution in 1917, in which George Orwell aimed to send a message across the readers about how bad communism was. A preface was written for the book but was never published due to controversy, however it explains about his views and opinions of Communism in Soviet Russia. Another example is his book 1984, which demonstrates a fictional totalitarian society. It relates to the characteristics of totalitarian, and predicts what society would be like in the future. As seen in these examples, we now know that George Orwell is highly into politics and has spent his whole life fighting for it. He passed away on 21st of January, 1950. However, till this day his legacies and work are not forgotten and are still read by students, and even politicians from all over the world.
